Xavier Blanc (Paris 7, France): "Existence of the thermodynamic limit for disordered quantum Coulomb systems"
Friday 14 June 2013, 10:15 - 11:00
Amphi Chaudron, Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Chimie, on the IHP campus

Abstract: Following a recent method introduced by C. Hainzl, J.P. Solovej and M. Lewin, we prove the existence of the thermodynamic limit for a system made of quantum electrons, and classical nuclei whose positions and charges are randomly perturbed in an ergodic fashion. All the particles interact through Coulomb forces.
