Julien Sabin (Cergy-Pontoise, France): "Static Electron-Positron Pair Production in a Nonlinear Dirac model"
Tuesday 23 April 2013, 16:15 - 17:00
Amphi Hermite

According to Dirac's interpretation, electron-positron pairs can be spontaneously produced from the relativistic vacuum submitted to a strong electric field. In this talk, I will present a rigorous approach to the study of this phenomenon. The results are obtained in the framework of a Hartree-Fock approximation of no-photon Quantum Electrodynamics, a model which was recently developed by Gravejat, Hainzl, Lewin, Séré, and Solovej.
